I love producing! Everything from advertising projects to dinner parties.
I started my career in the theatre and then got into the movies, always wanting to tell stories for a living, which led me into the world of commercial production after working as a PA on Slaves of New York for the Weinstein brothers and then following the production manager from that movie into the indentured servitude of entry level work in NY commercial production companies.
Jim Patterson gave me my first gig in advertising with JWT, NY, and I stayed for many years through Ty Montague. Over the years I’ve produced the full menu: traditional big-production brand campaigns for mega-brands like Merrill Lynch, DTC, Clairol, Diageo, State Farm and Emirates Airlines; along with digital, experiential and social content, often made on shoestring budgets, with create-your-own resources, for large and small agencies and clients alike.
I got back to my roots with East Pleasant Pictures, creating high-end, cost-effective integrated content under incredibly tight timetables for TV and advertising clients. This led to an offer from one of our clients, Noise New York, to fully engage in developing, producing and marketing social media for the Dr.Pepper Snapple Group.
I founded an alternative production resource company called ARM and learned that it truly is nobler to serve than lead. So now I serve others as a collaborative independent freelance producer, (or through my little boutique execution company, Brogan Commercial ShowRunners aka BCS, if the project warrants it). I have a history of successful production experience in most media, except porn, and I’m on point to work with creative people, solving problems and having fun.
Yes, I’ve written and registered a TV Pilot with the WGA. No, I don’t have a blog…yet.
